The Opportunity:

This is an exciting time to join one of our largest Block Plants, at Callow near Cheddar, Somerset. We are investing in the site through large projects and an expansion of our Engineering team. Through this expansion, we now have a great opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our existing team onsite. Onsite, you'll cover a Monday-Friday morning & afternoon rotating shift: 06:00-14:00 / 14:00-22:00 / 08:00-16:00. You'll have a true variation of work from projects to preventive & reactive works. With the support of the wider engineering team onsite, you'll seek to improve the engineering capabilities through improved stores systems to reduce downtime and FMEA on equipment to help improve our predictive maintenance success. You'll have options to develop your career and skills through external training and internal support from the Electrical Engineer, helping you to develop into a Multi-Skilled Engineer.

Responsibilities: Perform mechanical maintenance tasks in an industrial environment. Work with hydraulic equipment. Implement preventive and reactive maintenance strategies. Collaborate with the engineering team to improve maintenance processes.

Qualifications: Level 2 or higher mechanical qualification. Experience working within industrial environments.
