Working Hours & Salary:
The working hours in this role are 4 on 4 off (days & nights, 7am - 7pm & 7pm - 7am).
Salary: £47,600 per annum.
Mason James are partnered with an industry-leading UK food manufacturing business based in the Cheshire area. We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Accountabilities:
Maintain and promote health and safety standards across the site, working safely at all times. Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance work, ensuring it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site. Expected to carry out all maintenance and repairs across the factory, in both a low care and high care environment. Attend to breakdowns when necessary, ensuring a rapid response and minimizing plant equipment and machinery breakdown time. Always endeavor to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery. Carry out repairs to plant and equipment effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of a team. To carry out PPM onsite while ensuring a proactive approach to planned maintenance and a high PPM output. Identify areas of improvement to increase equipment reliability and efficiencies.
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience. Manufacturing Industry experience - Industries considered: Packaging, Food, FMCG. Good communication skills. Engineering knowledge both electrical and mechanical. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
