Responsibilities This is a permanent Nights Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter position, working Monday to Wednesday 6pm to 6am and Thursday 6pm to 1am. Your Role Will Include Planned Preventative Maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery. Dealing with machinery breakdowns and problems, fault finding, diagnostics and repairs. Assisting with planned shut-downs and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts. Assist in developing the agility maintenance system. Ensure machine safety standards are upheld and critical spares are maintained. It really is a varied role and the machinery will be made up and you will deal with belts, chain drives, bearings, shafts, mixers, conveyors. Anyone with mechanical skills in some of these areas would be highly desirable, along with working in a mechanical maintenance role. Requirements Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Mechanical Engineering qualifications. Experience with mechanical maintenance work within an industrial and/or manufacturing environment. Any experience of belts, chains, bearings, pumps, motors, gears, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, workshop skills (lathes and/or mills) would be desirable - training and support can be given on some areas. Proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in. Friendly and adaptable working attitude.
