About the role:

Reporting directly to the Production Manager and working as part of the Plant/Production Maintenance Team, the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure that the industrial machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably.

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Planning and carrying out preventive maintenance.

Diagnosing faults, repairing equipment and testing repairs.

Managing stocks and supplies of spare parts & ordering specialist components, fixtures and fittings for specialist equipment such as CNC’s, CTF & Press Breaks.

Supervising external contractors whilst on-site.

Creating maintenance and safe operating procedures.

Managing a keeping record of faults and repairs.

About you:

Essential for the position, preferential consideration to the interview stage will be provided to candidates who demonstrate experience/qualification in the below criteria:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent electrical/mechanical qualification.

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer.

Ability to follow directions, procedures with good verbal, written & PC based communicational skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

You may need to work shifts or be on call particularly when the manufacturing equipment is in continual operation.

What's on offer:

A competitive salary from £35,000 - £45,000 + 30% Shift allowance Nightshift or 20% Shift Allowance for backshift if required to work on any of these rota's.

Generous overtime paid at time and half and double time with bonus hours paid after 6, 10 and 12 hours overtime worked per week.

£1,000 attendance bonus.
