Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. Job Description Mechanical Engineering, part of the Central Engineering group at KLA, is critical to both our product groups and our customers. We are an award-winning group who owns the end-to-end design, prototyping, testing, and delivery of groundbreaking packaging solutions and sophisticated product range. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is hands on, self-motivated, and a great teammate! The candidate will be collaborating with multi-functional teams during the design process to detail the packaging designs and procedures done by our group. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Working with the Mechanical / Packaging engineers to capture requirements, design, test, document, and release packaging. Test fit packaging containers to ensure accurate fit and work closely with collaborators to identify any special handling and safety requirements. Perform tasks with minimal direction and supervision and employ good project management practices to align with time-related work. Advocate to internal customers or suppliers on efficient packaging procedures, packaging materials, and utilization of protective packaging systems. Maintain suppliers in the region working as part of the wider packaging engineering team. KLA is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. For this role we are looking for someone who: BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Packaging Engineering. Demonstrated ability in CREO Parametric 3D and Intralink software. Strong engineering fundamentals, including design principles, materials selection, and packaging fabrication methods. Knowledge of Electronic / Clean Room packaging is desirable. Proficient communication skills and the ability to present to our team and internal customers. Hands-on mechanical skills. Works well in the collaborative environment. This role may require some international travel to the US for training purposes. What will we offer you?
