NRL are currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Piping Designer to work on behalf of one of our clients in the Warrington area.

Expectations within the role:

Develop detailed piping designs and layouts using Autodesk Inventor. Create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings of piping systems. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and constraints. Perform calculations to determine pipe sizes, material selection, and flow rates. Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations. Conduct site visits to gather information and verify design accuracy. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design reports and as-built drawings. Participate in design reviews and provide technical support during construction.

You will need:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Previous experience in piping design, preferably in the nuclear industry (although other highly regulated industries will be considered). Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and other CAD software. Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and fabrication processes. Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME, ANSI, and API. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
