Mechanical Pre-Contracts Manager
An established MEP contractor is looking to hire their next diligent mechanical pre-contracts manager in order to win new work from existing clients they work with.
The role involves managing the pre-construction phases through to project win, incentivized by a generous bonus structure.
Responsibilities:
Liaising directly with clients to discuss job briefs and managing through to pricing and project win. Monitoring and reviewing Mechanical & Electrical tender documentation from sub-contractor businesses. Ensuring all the tenders are as robust and competitive as possible. Liaising directly with clients and sub-contractors to ensure tender stages are running efficiently. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager and helping coordinate tenders with internal teams. Developing relationships with new and existing clients. Designing and sizing mechanical equipment ready for tender. Maintaining company standards in terms of quality. Attending pre-contract meetings with clients and internal team members.
Requirements: Minimum 2 years' experience in a building services environment. Hold a related qualification in the building services/HVAC/M&E industry. Ability to multi-task while reviewing multiple project tenders. Knowledge of mechanical systems design and installation. Good commercial understanding of M&E contracting, working as both Principal and Sub Contractor. Strong communication skills, both internal and external. Experience working with sub-contractors and managing accordingly to ensure maximum results.
