Mechanical Project Manager

to join our dynamic team based in Essex. Role Overview: As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of mechanical engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will work closely with the design, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects, ensuring all project milestones are met. Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to define project requirements and deliverables. Oversee the planning, design, and execution of mechanical systems for a variety of industries. Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and reporting any deviations to senior management. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, resolve any issues, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and stakeholders. Manage project risks, providing solutions to potential issues as they arise. Supervise and mentor project teams, ensuring efficient communication and collaboration. Essential Requirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the construction or engineering industry. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, design principles, and installation processes. Excellent project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. Familiarity with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Strong communication and leadership skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar). A degree or relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Full UK driving license and the ability to travel to various sites as needed. Desirable Skills: Experience with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and 3D CAD software.
