Position: Mechanical Project Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee mechanical systems and installations for our residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in mechanical systems management, team supervision, and a thorough understanding of residential and commercial building services. Key Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of the project at a commercial level, dealing with both the site team and the client. Managing projects from estimation to completion whilst ensuring the work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage all health and safety aspects for your projects including writing risk assessments, method statements, and safe systems of works. Manage operatives & subcontractors, ensuring the installation of various packages is compliant with the drawings and specifications. Managing the timely procurement of plant and materials within the allocated budgets for the project whilst ensuring all is specification compliant. Ensuring compliance with the company’s latest policies and staying up to date with any changes to company procedures. Ensuring the installation is done to the highest quality of workmanship using our internal QA procedures to record and track the quality process. Monitor and report on site progress and support the customer by attending various site meetings. Commissioning and handover process and work closely with the Quantity Surveyor to track the project financially. Personal Qualities: The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic and work effectively leading a team. Excellent communication skills are required as it is vital that you can communicate in a fluent and positive manner with other team members, sub-contractors, and clients. A hard-working individual with a high level of IT literacy with experience in Microsoft Office. Impeccable time-keeping and organizational skills is a must and requires both analytical and problem-solving skills. An overall knowledge and understanding of a wide variety of mechanical systems and their installation methods is a must. Entry Requirements: Candidates must have experience as a Mechanical Building Services Project Manager on large-scale new build and refurbishment commercial projects along with HNC/HND/Degree in Building Services. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a wider team is required. Excellent people management skills and the ability to motivate others around them. Ability to prioritize, organize, and multitask to ensure that timescales are met through effective planning and project management. Candidates must hold a full UK driving license. Typical Working Week: The contract would be based on 40 hours per week, 8AM to 5PM Monday to Thursday, and 8AM to 4PM Friday. Some occasional weekend work or overtime may feature. Not all our projects are in South Wales, so we are seeking individuals that would be willing to run projects that require overnight stays. Salary: £45,000-£60,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be confirmed based on qualifications and experience.
