Permanent, Full-time Job Summary As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of mechanical engineering projects across various sectors, including Water & Utilities, Rail, Chemical, Health, Food & Beverage, Education, and other industrial and commercial fields. Your role will involve managing project teams, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. You will collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet specific project requirements. About the Company Our client is a prominent construction and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) engineering company with nearly 50 years of experience. Based in Runcorn, Cheshire, they operate nationwide, delivering projects ranging from a few thousand pounds to multi-million-pound ventures. Their dedicated team of over 160 skilled professionals provides a comprehensive range of services, from individualised solutions to full project management. Operating across heavily regulated sectors, they are committed to engineering excellence, customer satisfaction, and sustainable growth through repeat business. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage mechanical engineering projects from inception to completion. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met. Oversee the work of project teams, including engineers, designers, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues. Prepare and present project reports and documentation. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the project team. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager in the construction or engineering industry. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and project management principles. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations. A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
