As a Service Engineer within RA NOV, you will be homebased within mainland UK and be expected to travel globally on an ad-hoc basis. You will receive full training on product lines by NOV training personnel and will gain on-the-job training accompanied by experienced NOV Service Engineers. Key to this role and your development will be your participation in the NOV Global Competency Program. A strong foundation to your success in this role will be your ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics and carry out fault finding on various pieces of equipment. Developing our business goes hand in hand with developing our people’s skills; therefore, with the support of the Service Supervisor, you will be open to career progression and continued self-development to reach personal and business goals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Escalate key faults or product failures to the relevant department and progress through to resolution. Inspect NOV equipment for conformance with operational standards. Respond to emergency calls for Rig Down situations when required. QUALIFICATIONS: Time-served Engineer (essential). HNC in a relevant engineering qualification or equivalent (desirable). EXPERIENCE: Working knowledge of installation, commissioning, overhaul, fault finding, and repair of heavy machinery or in an automation field (essential). Working knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics manufacturing environments (essential). Working knowledge within a similar position either offshore or in an automation field (desirable). SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE: Ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics (essential). Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook) (desirable).
