Mech Electrics are working with a highly reputable and fast-growing building services company, known for delivering exceptional mechanical, electrical, and HVAC services to commercial and residential developments.

With a strong focus on sustainable and innovative solutions, they are a trusted partner in the building services industry, particularly within the vibrant and ever-evolving Manchester City Centre. They are now looking for a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Site Manager to oversee mechanical operations for upcoming projects starting in March 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

Site Leadership:

Take overall responsibility for managing all mechanical works on-site, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Project Coordination:

Oversee and coordinate the mechanical installation team, ensuring proper scheduling, resource allocation, and that all tasks align with the project timeline. Client Liaison:

Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing regular updates on project progress and ensuring their expectations are met. Health & Safety:

Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental regulations are followed at all times, promoting a safe working environment for all site personnel. Quality Control:

Conduct site inspections, monitor work quality, and ensure compliance with technical specifications and relevant standards. Team Management:

Supervise and mentor mechanical engineers, subcontractors, and site operatives, offering guidance and troubleshooting solutions where needed. Problem Solving:

Proactively identify potential issues and delays, developing solutions to ensure the project stays on track and within budget. Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain detailed site records, report progress to senior management, and prepare necessary documentation for compliance.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Mechanical Site Management role, ideally within commercial or residential construction projects. Experience in managing large mechanical installations, HVAC systems, and building services is essential. Qualifications:

Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC/HND or degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services). Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, building services, and industry standards. Familiarity with current health and safety regulations is crucial. Leadership:

Proven track record in managing teams and liaising with clients and contractors effectively. Communication:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead teams and report progress to senior management and clients. Problem-Solving:

Ability to anticipate project challenges and quickly implement effective solutions to keep work on schedule.
