This is a full-time on-site role as a Mechanical Supervisor at A&L MEICA in Kilmarnock. The Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for supervising preventive maintenance tasks, managing maintenance activities, conducting inspections, and overseeing maintenance operations to ensure efficiency and compliance. Role Responsibilities: Monitor and supervise your team and any subcontractors to ensure that all mechanical construction activities are carried out safely and fully in accordance with Company's HSEQ and Technical requirements. Ensure that the work is carried out on schedule and to the specified quality requirements. Ensure that Company standards are maintained at the highest levels. Report any unsafe acts, near misses or relevant H&S matters and ensure that these are promptly followed up and closed out. Ensure that appropriate safety procedures are implemented during the execution of the work, which will include the review of method statements and Safe Systems of Work. Deliver toolbox talks relating to mechanical construction activities carried out by your team or subcontractors. Liaise with the Project Engineer on all matters including H&S, Technical issues and Specification as and when required. Ensure that all plant and materials are in accordance with the specifications. Implement the Company Quality Assurance Procedures through the checking, witnessing and recording of activities as required within the scope of the works. Ensure that all construction activities are suitably understood by the site team. Liaise with the client and/or main contractor where necessary. Report progress on the activities of programmes and inform the Project Engineer of any potential slippages. Liaise closely with all site team on a day-to-day basis if required to ensure that they are kept fully informed and are meeting expectations. Supervise and motivate site teams to a high standard. Be aware of safety and quality issues & be able to advise and enforce. Enforce Company Policies and Procedures. Coach and maintain standards, be responsible & take ownership. Assist with workloads, set priorities, and resolve conflict. Assist with development of team members to maximum potential. Be able and willing to drive efficiency and meet client expectations.
