Mechanical Supervisor
Days Monday - Thursday 07:30 - 17:30, Friday 07:30 - 16:30 40 Hours Per week - 6 hours per week OT
Hourly Pay £48,351 - £59,190, + Weekly Production Bonus + OT 21 Days Holiday Plus Public Holidays Overtime @ 1.5 after 40 hours, Sunday 2.0 6 Month Probation Period
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of Maintenance Supervisors, Maintenance Engineers, Site Services & Project engineers. Assist with the leadership of the site engineering teams to deliver engineering plans/Production plans, service levels & engineering strategy within quality, safety and cost parameters. Implement & deliver the engineering strategy that will develop and drive reliability, improve quality, safety and asset utilisation via all direct & indirect reports. Assist Engineers when required. Ensure that plant installations and modifications comply with the latest industry standards and regulatory requirements. This Role is 50% Hands-on, provide cover for holidays and sickness. Coach and develop direct reports. Monitor and improve performance through appraisal, performance management and personal development plans to ensure that their full potential is realised. Project management/deliver change initiatives.
What skills are you going to bring to the team? Mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship). 5+ Years' experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation within heavy industry. Experience of leading an engineering team. IOSH Managing Safely (preferred but not essential). Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems. Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs. Project management and leading/delivering change is desired. Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be an advantage.
