Mechanical Technician

Responsibilities: Interpretation of internal and client requirements Operating complex mechanical testing equipment Maintaining accurate and systematic records Performing other duties to fulfill the demands of the laboratory Performing general duties in accordance with Element's internal procedures, quality as well as Health and Safety system Application of instrumentation and the setting up of complex data capture equipment Report writing, data interpretation and analysis Skills / Qualifications: Educated to a good general standard including English and Maths Hands-on job Sound mechanical bias Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is a distinct advantage Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial Self-motivated Technician with the ability to multi-task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory Excellent attention to detail Strong written and verbal communication skills A team player attitude Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Company Overview: Element is one of the fastest growing testing, inspection and certification businesses in the world.
