Mechanical Test Engineer
for one of our prestigious clients in
Nottingham . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a mechanical/inspection background who is looking for work in engineering. Our client is looking for a talented individual to join their friendly team. Starting Salary: £32k/annum Day Shift: Monday to Friday 8am - 4:30pm (early finish on Friday) Location: Nottingham (easy access via public transport) Immediate start! Mechanical Test Engineer Job Details:
Testing mechanical products and sub-assemblies following instructions by senior engineers. Logging test data. Quality checks & fault finding to component level. Use internal system to improve testing methods & product information. Product inspection to design specification. Assisting with repairs & returns. Keeping records up to date within the internal system (DART). Ad/hoc testing/calibrating of simple electrical parts/units (PCB, load cells, etc.). Mechanical Test Engineer Requirements:
Relevant experience in mechanical inspection/testing. Ability to read & understand technical drawings. Excellent attention to detail and ability to diagnose faults. Positive approach towards work and ability to think outside the box. HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience (desirable). Experience in fitting, assembly, or prototype building (desirable). Equipment calibration experience (desirable). F-Gas Certification (desirable). ISO Quality background knowledge (desirable). Basic wire checking skills (desirable). Team player / adaptable / good work ethic. Enthusiasm / ambition / eagerness to learn. Mechanical Test Engineer Benefits:
Straight permanent contract. £32k starting salary + yearly bonus (EOT). Day shift only Monday to Friday (8am starts). Early finish on Fridays (1pm). Overtime available at x1.5 rate (Sundays double time). Great team environment (team of 5). Full company uniform provided after successful probation period. Free parking on site.
