Our Logistics Division operates from numerous locations providing integrated logistics solutions including warehousing, road and rail distribution and supply chain management. We operate 450 trucks, over 5 million square feet of warehousing and major rail freight terminals, servicing several blue chip customers. We are seeking to appoint a Mechanic/Trailer Fitter at our Logistics workshop in Gatenby to strengthen our existing team. Responsibilities include: Servicing, maintenance, MOT preparation and repairs of a mixed fleet of trailers. The routine maintenance and repairs on all vehicles both on site, at customer premises and also attending roadside breakdowns when required. Maintenance and running repairs to a fleet of 60+ Tractor Units. Service, maintenance, MOT preparation and running repairs of mixed fleet of Tractor Units and curtain side trailers. Running repairs and defect rectification on a mixed fleet of Tractor Units. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, preferably of working with Trailers and saf and bpw axles. This role will suit a trained or experienced Trailer Fitter who enjoys a variety of work and a positive team environment. To be successful in your application you must be able to demonstrate a high standard of workmanship, a professional attitude and good communication skills. A Driving Licence is essential for this role. An HGV (C+E) licence is desirable but not essential. This position is based on Monday to Friday Dayshift along with one in every three Saturdays, working hours will be between 07.00 and 18.00 Monday to Friday with 60 minutes for breaks and between 07.00 and 12.00 on any Saturdays worked with 15 minutes for breaks. Due to the busy nature of our operations, reasonable flexibility may be required. This role will mainly be based in the Workshop.
