Job Summary:
We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Mechatronics Engineer to join our team in Newcastle. In this role, you will design, develop, and optimize electromechanical systems and automated production processes in a dynamic electronics manufacturing environment. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems to improve product quality, efficiency, and production scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Development:
Design and implement electromechanical systems and automation solutions tailored to electronics manufacturing.
Develop and prototype robotics and automated systems for production and assembly lines.
Process Optimization: Analyze manufacturing workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
Integrate innovative technologies to enhance productivity and product quality.
System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electronic, and software components.
Troubleshoot and resolve system malfunctions and process issues.
Maintenance and Support: Oversee the maintenance of automated and robotic systems.
Provide technical support and training to production teams.
Compliance and Documentation: Ensure systems meet safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Prepare detailed documentation, including system designs, testing protocols, and operation manuals.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in a similar role within electronics manufacturing or automation.
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for system design.
Knowledge of PLC programming, robotics, and embedded systems.
Experience with sensors, actuators, and IoT integration.
Problem-Solving:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on troubleshooting complex systems.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
