Mechanical Project Manager (HVAC & Plumbing)


Join a dynamic team! Be the Mechanical Project Manager leading HVAC projects across the UK and Ireland.


Our client, based in the Midlands, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager with a strong background in HVAC and Plumbing to join their expanding team. This role has become available due to the successful acquisition of new mechanical projects.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the installation of HVAC and mechanical projects across the UK and Ireland.
  • Attend client site meetings to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
  • Conduct surveys and assist with bid proposals and contract negotiations.
  • Participate in pre-start meetings and provide ongoing reports throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Plan and manage resources, including subcontractors and direct labor.
  • Procure materials as needed for project completion.
  • Keep clients and the company informed on all project-related matters.
  • Create Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Develop Operation and Maintenance manuals.
  • Ensure all work is completed on time, within budget, and snag-free.
  • Manage contract variations effectively.
  • Handle multiple projects ranging from £20k to £1m.
  • Be prepared to respond quickly and efficiently to various situations on and off-site.
  • Take a proactive role within the company.



Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

  • Proven experience in the air conditioning industry and familiarity with relevant legislation is essential, along with knowledge of major suppliers and equipment.
  • Proficient in computer usage; self-motivated, personable, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to manage projects from conception to completion, including all labor and material requirements.
  • ONC/HNC qualification in Building Services (HVAC) is preferred.
  • CSCS Card Holder.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong professional relationships and manage projects successfully.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in IT and experience working from CAD drawings.
  • Strong team player.



Remuneration:

  • Basic salary of approximately £38k – £45k, negotiable based on experience.
  • Company car.
