The Acquisition & Customer Marketing (ACM) team within the International Card Services (ICS) Centre of Excellence (CoE) drives market success across a portfolio of 23 international markets. The way we acquire, onboard, and grow engagement with our prospects and cardmembers across ICS is more important than ever to continue to enable the strong trajectory of ICS and growth contribution to American Express. How will you make an impact in this role? This role is an exciting new opportunity to develop and implement a growth plan and operating model for American Express’ International Paid Media channels that enables growth, efficiency and innovation whilst balancing central governance, local expertise and external perspectives. This high-profile role sits within International Card Services (Amex’s international issuing business) and will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of the media growth strategy. You will lead the relationship with the central media buying agency, creative agency and partner with media analytics to ensure the delivery of the strategy and establish consistent reporting across all international markets to drive incremental, profitable demand. Current focus areas span across Consumer and Small Business. Key responsibilities include: Lead the relationship with the central media buying agency and partner with media analytics to develop an optimized operating model, developing a media performance framework to drive incremental demand. Streamline creative operating model in partnership with the creative agency to enable robust creative testing, share and learn across international markets and approach for best-in-class assets. Partner with central media agency and key publisher partners and lead with an external perspective to deploy innovative tests, in line with latest BETA/digital trends to cultivate new media growth opportunities. Partner with Analytics teams to ensure we have the appropriate channel reporting at a sub-channel level including mixed media modeling to drive clearer measurement of media activity and inform spend recommendations. Champion enterprise-wide collaboration to define our upper media strategy, audience strategy and develop a media community. Minimum Qualifications: Extensive digital media marketing experience. In-depth knowledge of the media landscape including experience collaborating with and leading agency partners and/or media publishers. Proven track record of developing and executing winning acquisition media strategies to drive acquisition results. The ability to transform data into actionable insights. Highly strategic and creative thinker with the ability to work through unstructured problems and develop clear and executable action plans. Excellent communicator with outstanding ability to build strong relationships across the business, with the ability to bring Amex stakeholders on the journey. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with a range of stakeholders (both internal and external) to drive a customer-led agenda forward, identify win-win solutions and deliver against key initiatives.
