Your New Organisation My client is a forward-thinking healthcare organisation committed to excellence in patient care and innovation. The project is to develop the UK’s first green hospital and to enhance healthcare delivery through the integration of advanced medical devices and technology here in South Wales. Your New Role As the Medical Devices Configuration and Commissioning Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for the configuration and profiling of medical devices. Your role will involve ensuring the provision of market-ready specifications, leading the development of forecasts for new and replacement devices, and managing the installation and commissioning programme. You will act as the primary liaison with suppliers, oversee delivery and installation, maintain up-to-date entries in the Project’s Equipment Database and design maintenance programmes for the equipment. What You'll Need to Be Successful Education: Degree level or equivalent. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of medical devices, national standards, COP, MHRA, and associated regulations. Knowledge of health and safety legislation and the supplier market for medical devices. Experience: Extensive experience in producing technical specifications for procurement, supplier management in healthcare, and working in Clinical Equipment Services. Proven track record in specifying, evaluating, and commissioning medical electronic devices. Skills and Attributes: Excellent technical abilities, interpersonal and communication skills, facilitation skills, and the ability to inspire confidence and cooperation. Strong organisational skills, the ability to evaluate complex data, and high standards of oral and written communication. The ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and changing priorities. Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
