Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing essential administrative support. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced medical setting. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner. Manage appointment scheduling, including booking, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments as necessary. Answer incoming calls promptly and respond to patient inquiries with accurate information. Maintain patient records by updating information in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Process patient registrations and verify insurance details to ensure accurate billing. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow within the practice. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations at all times. Requirements Previous experience in an office or administrative role is preferred, ideally within a healthcare setting. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). A compassionate approach towards patients with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
