CF15 8DZ An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Medical Receptionist, 37.5 hrs per week at the medical practice. We require a motivated, hard-working, enthusiastic and reliable Medical Receptionist to join this well-established medical practice. We are a busy teaching and training practice with six partners and an increasing list size of approximately 11,000. Our reception team provides a friendly professional service to patients, visitors and staff. The successful candidate must be prepared to work shifts between the hours of 8am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. A flexible approach to the needs of the service is fundamental. Some of the key reception duties will include: Answering telephones Booking and cancelling appointments Front of house reception duties Dealing with queries Prescription requests E-consults Primary care registrations Upkeep of clinical patient registers Other administrative duties for the practice The post holder will be the first point of contact for staff, patients, and other health professionals. The successful candidate should be confident, able to work under pressure, and have the ability to communicate with staff at all levels to ensure seamless care to patients. Applicants should be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent IT and organisational skills are also vital to this position, and candidates should be proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, and have competent keyboard skills. Knowledge of a GP practice software package would be an advantage. Applicants should also be able to prioritize workloads in order to meet deadlines with a customer-focused approach. There will be a thorough induction programme within the practice environment, and any training appropriate to the role will be offered.
