As part of the reception team, after a period of training, you will have gained a unique set of skills enabling you to fulfil the role, which will include (see job description for the full requirements of the role): Telephone: Supporting patients and signposting to the appropriate clinician/organisation. Handling requests for home visits and taking messages. Dealing with the online forms received from patients for appointment requests. Contacting patients via telephone, text, or letter as appropriate. Care Navigation: Being able to appropriately signpost patients to the most appropriate clinician or service by the use of a defined template. Reception duties to meet practice needs in agreement with Reception Supervisor: Receiving patients and booking appointments at the Reception Counter. Monitoring the waiting room and guiding patients to rooms. Informing patients of relevant charges for private (non-General Medical Services) services, accepting payment, and issuing receipts for the same. About us
