We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our busy, friendly, forward-thinking team for 27.5hrs per week, worked over four days, Tuesday - Friday on a permanent basis. Essential skills include good communication and an excellent telephone manner, a willingness to learn with the ability to use your own initiative. Main duties of the job

The main duty of the role is to speak with our patients, either face-to-face or over the phone and to help them with their requests. Signposting patients to the appropriate healthcare professional within the practice or related services such as Pharmacy First, Minor Injuries Unit. You will offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors. Job responsibilities

Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the phone. Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way. Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice including the provision of clerical support to clinical staff and other members of the practice team when necessary. Facilitate effective communication between patients, members of the primary healthcare team, secondary care and other associated healthcare agencies. Person Specification

Qualifications

GCSE grade A to C in English. Experience

Experience of a Customer Service or Reception based role. Experience of working in a primary care setting. Experience of working in a GP practice. Knowledge and skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills. Good organisation skills. Ability to prioritise workload. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
