An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Primary Care 24 (PC24) as a Part-time Medical Receptionist based at our Netherton practice on a Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, on the afternoon shift.
Rota:
Monday 1pm to 6.30pm
Wednesday 1pm to 6.30pm
Thursday 1pm to 6.30pm
Friday 1pm to 6.30pm
You will be working as part of the wider operational team to provide the “front-of-house” service, including welcoming patients and visitors, understanding and interpreting patients’ needs, and resolving queries where possible.
Key responsibilities:
You will provide a responsive, courteous, calm, and efficient service at all times, to enable and support patient care. You will respond to circumstances with a positive and flexible approach. The post holder is required to have excellent verbal and written communication, organization, and customer service skills, and the ability to work as part of a team and independently. A high level of computer literacy and attention to detail is also required.
About you:
Literacy and numeracy skills at GCSE level C or equivalent
Ability to work flexibly across the week
Possess excellent communication skills
Patient-focused and professional at all times
Able to problem solve and think clearly in pressured situations
Good IT skills including the use of Microsoft packages
Experience of working to policies and procedures
Experience of using EMIS (desirable)
Experience of working in a healthcare environment (desirable)
