Old Mill Surgery is currently seeking an enthusiastic, friendly, and hard-working individual to join our busy reception team. The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth running of an extremely busy reception area, which is crucial to supporting the overall operations of the practice and provide vital support to the patients and clinical staff.
Our practice is situated in Viewpark health centre with convenient free parking and bus routes nearby. We currently serve around 8000 patients and our clinical team consists of 3 GP Partners, 3 part-time salaried GPs, an ANP, 2 practice Nurses, and an array of allied health board team members. We have an experienced and friendly reception team who will be on hand to provide training and support.
Duties will include telephone cover, prescription administration, and processing of internal and external communications both paper and digital. Good communication and strong relationship building with patients is of the highest priority, so the successful candidate will be confident, compassionate, and efficient. We are a very busy practice, and the ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to prioritise workload both independently and with direction.
Previous General Practice experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Previous experience in a call handling/service environment would be advantageous.
Hours per week will be 8-4pm or 10-6pm Mon-Fri on a rotational basis. Starting salary is £12.75 per hour.
