Civic Medical Centre, Wirral We are recruiting a receptionist to join our busy but friendly reception team. The successful applicant will be highly motivated, adaptable, and able to work under pressure. Our receptionists work closely with our clinical team and wider colleagues in person and via email, so excellent communication skills and strong IT skills are essential for the role. Experience working in a healthcare setting would be desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. The position is permanent, subject to a 6-month probation period. Hours would be set, but flexibility is essential as there will be a requirement to provide annual leave/sickness cover when needed. Duties include: Answering calls and dealing with all aspects of patient-facing care including booking appointments, greeting, and directing patients. Relaying information and queries between patients and clinicians, ensuring clear and concise documentation. Care navigation (signposting patients to other appropriate services). Processing patient prescriptions. Processing online consultations. Emailing referrals and documents. Actioning and sending tasks to the clinical team. Liaising with wider colleagues in primary and secondary care. Dealing with sensitive information while adhering to confidentiality policy. About us: We are a busy practice located in Bebington with a patient list of approximately 9900 patients. Our large clinical team consists of 5 GP partners, 6 salaried GPs, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 Healthcare Assistant, and a Practice Pharmacist. We are also a GP training practice, hosting regular training GPs and medical students. Qualifications: Essential: GCSE grade A-C in Maths and English or equivalent.
