Medical Secretaries
based at
University Hospital Ayr , on a
permanent
basis. What you will do: You will provide a comprehensive Medical Secretarial Service to the Consultants and Clinical teams within the General Surgery Dept at UHA. Primary duties will include transcription of clinical correspondence using digital dictation and processing patient results appropriately and timeously. Other duties include operating and maintaining the waiting list within the specialty. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job: Experience within a Medical Secretarial environment is essential and you should have a relevant secretarial qualification e.g. AMSPAR Diploma for Medical Secretaries, RSA or Scotvec qualification, Business Management or equivalent experience. A working knowledge of the patient management system (Trakcare) and knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous as further training can be provided. Hours: 37 hours per week.
