The Gastroenterology Department seeks an enthusiastic Medical Secretary to provide comprehensive support at Grantham Hospital. This post is part-time at 18.75 hours per week. We are looking for candidates who thrive in an office environment and enjoy problem solving. Responsibilities include: Dealing with urgent and routine correspondence. Typing clinic letters, medical reports, and general correspondence. Managing the Consultant's diary and arranging meetings. Handling enquiries from patients, GPs, and other stakeholders. A genuine interest in providing excellent patient care is necessary. Experience in an office environment is advantageous. Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will have: Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills. Minimum of 2 GCSEs or equivalent, including English & Maths. Experience in secretarial duties. Typing, Audio, and Word/Text Processing Skills to RSA III or equivalent. GCSE English Language Grade C or equivalent. Medical secretary qualifications. Previous Experience
Recent Medical Secretarial experience. Knowledge of medical terminology. Good written and verbal communication skills. Specific Requirements
