We are a friendly, high achieving, 6 Partner GP Training Practice looking to recruit a part-time Medical Secretary. Working within our busy secretarial team, you will contribute to our efficient and professional secretarial service. Duties will include managing e-referrals, processing system related tasks and liaising on the telephone with patients, hospitals and a range of healthcare professionals, as well as audio and copy typing of correspondence and reports. You will also be expected to carry out a range of other administrative tasks across the Practice when the need arises. We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative and is approachable, positive, and reliable. You will need to be able to work effectively as part of a team, sharing information and resources. You will need advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and keyboard skills, including the ability to demonstrate fast and accurate typing. Previous secretarial experience in a primary care setting would be advantageous but is not essential. We can offer a competitive salary, generous annual leave allowance, and a friendly and supportive work environment in our newly refurbished Practice in the centre of Emsworth. Working circa 22.5 hours over 3 or 4 days. Two of these days would be full days (8.30am – 4.00 pm) on Monday and Friday, and then we could offer one other full day on either Tuesday or Thursday or, two half days on Tuesday and Thursday. We will also have the occasional need to cover holidays and other staff absences. Job Type:
