To manage the office administration of the Consultant and designated medical staff, and provide an efficient and effective secretarial service. The post-holder acts as the first point of contact for all forms of communication for the Consultant and their team. Qualifications
5 GCSE's or equivalent, grade C or above. Must include English. Typing qualifications to RSA (RSA Royal Society of Arts) III standard. Computer literate to ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) standard or equivalent. AMSPAR (The Association of Medical Secretaries, Practice Managers, Administrators and Receptionists) Diploma. Knowledge and Skills
Medical terminology. Fast and accurate audio-typing. Good communicator - able to deal with people at all levels, including where there are barriers to understanding, using tact, diplomacy, and persuasion. Effective organisational skills.
