We are looking for a dynamic, flexible and enthusiastic team player to integrate with the current team and provide an efficient and effective support service to the clinicians, patients & medical secretaries. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritise and plan. You must be able to work using your own initiative and be flexible to work where the need is greatest. You should have a good level of clerical experience and good working knowledge of IT systems, although full training in the use of our systems will be provided. In this department, you will be fully supported by management with regular training and development to help further your career.

Main duties of the job You will undertake a full range of secretarial and administrative duties for the Urology team including:
Receive and open mail
Perform routine tasks on your own initiative
Type general correspondence, clinic letters, discharge summaries, reports
Receive dictation via Big Hand and upload letters to Evolve
Update patient pathway following clinic appointments
Manage the non-admitted PTL
Assist Department Lead with Choose & Book Process
Answer telephone and deal with enquiries, convey messages
Maintain efficient filing system
Ad-hoc duties as delegated by Department Lead
