To participate in all relevant departmental training under qualified supervision to attain proficiency in all required skills. To demonstrate effective communication skills (written, verbal & electronic) between patients and members of the multi-disciplinary team. To communicate effectively with patients and their relatives. To provide professional competent basic nursing care to patients without direct supervision, including hygiene needs while maintaining patient dignity. To be competent in the use of point of care equipment, ensuring the timely retrieval of results are accurately communicated back to the requesting clinician. Comply with Trust policies & guidelines through the process of clinical governance and audit, including incident reporting. Report all incidents and adverse events to senior staff. Demonstrate on-going competency against training plans and participate positively in Continuous Professional Development.
