Medical Welfare Officer Term time only including INSET days. 2 days a week (15 hours) either Monday/Tuesday or Thursday/Friday. Based at our Shooting Field Campus. Salary: Grade BET 4A-E £26,918 - £29,616 FTE. Actual £9,485 (starting salary) - £10,436 We are looking for an individual to join our friendly, supportive team, to provide frontline First Aid and welfare support to students and staff. This is a rewarding role helping young people to flourish, and will involve supporting the integration of students with individual medical needs. The successful candidate will occasionally be required to work with students with complex needs for which full training will be provided. Key tasks are: To be responsible for meeting the medical needs of students and staff on the Shooting Field site during school hours, liaising closely with the Pastoral and Administrative teams at The Towers, Rock Road and Boarding. To assist with general clerical and administrative duties within the Main Office including providing support and cover for the Attendance Officer when required. Do you have? A flexible attitude to react to different situations throughout the school day and the ability to use your own initiative within the learning environment. Experience of working calmly under pressure. The ability to communicate effectively with anyone, especially young people, and work effectively both on your own and within a team.
