We are looking for an individual with great communication skills, sound IT knowledge and a keen eye for detail. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate staffing for the medical rota is created and circulated to the staff within a timely fashion. This also includes the on-call Rota (Junior Dr and Consultant) which are also staffed and maintained, and managing/escalating the gaps on the Rota as necessary. Main duties of the job

As part of your development, you will play a key part in assisting with the recruitment process for Junior Doctors and Consultants within the division so that you have involvement in shaping the service. Aspects of this recruitment will be processing formal requests to recruit, support in the creation of JD’s and working closely with clinical leads and the operational management team. Qualifications

GCSE / A Level or equivalent standard of education Experience

Competence with a range of IT packages, e.g. ESR, Healthroster, MS package Ability to use and maintain resources efficiently and effectively and encourage others to do so Able to monitor quality of own work and others Ability to treat everyone with whom s/he comes into contact with dignity and respect Working knowledge of medical staffing rotas A proven record of being able to work within set timeframes working to priorities and deadlines Able to recognise own limits and work within those limits of competence Acts responsibly as a team member and seeks help if necessary Previous experience in dealing with medical staffing Knowledge

A good level of medical terminology ECDL or equivalent experience i.e. experience of a range of IT packages such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Skills

Ability to provide constructive opinions and views on ideas for rota management Ability to assess risk and report any issues that may put Health and Safety at risk Acts in a way that is consistent with legislation, policies and procedures and promotes the Trust Health and Safety policies Ability to produce and present written reports of a high caliber Understanding of Data Protection Act and Freedom of Information Act Other
