This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified pharmacy technician to work alongside experienced medicines optimisation pharmacists and two other medicines optimisation technicians in the newly created single NCL team. Our team works in a matrix manner across the medicine optimisation pillars. The purpose of this post is to support the Medicines Optimisation Team in delivering the ICB priorities in relation to medicines and the medicines optimisation strategy and workplan for our residents and patients. This role requires the individual to have experience of working with a wide range of healthcare professionals, exceptional organisational skills, and high aptitude of forward planning. The interview will take place w/c 3 February 2025. The interview will include an exercise/assessment task - shortlisted candidates will be provided with details on notification of interview. Main duties of the job

Supporting implementation of the ICB’s medicines optimisation agenda including in general practices and care homes, including high quality, safe and cost-effective prescribing. To support the ICB medicines optimisation team enquiry answering service. To develop and maintain good working relations with all ICB and general practice staff. To support the development, implementation and evaluation of medicines related audits. To help support medicines and pharmacy locally commissioned services and prepare monthly payment schedules (as applicable). Responsibility for the development of resources to support the provision of education and training to GP practice staff and other healthcare professionals as appropriate. To provide professional support to relevant committees by taking minutes, follow up on actions, sending out consultations, engaging with other committees (minutes / issues), maintaining database of decisions. Education / Qualifications

BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in pharmaceutical science Registered with General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Experience

Relevant post-qualification experience in hospital or community pharmacy or primary care including prescribing advice. Experience of interdisciplinary working. Experience of working with a range of healthcare professionals. Experience of working in a primary care medicines optimisation team. Experience of working in general practices and primary healthcare teams. Experience of clinical medicines optimisation. Knowledge/Skills/ Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; capable of constructing and delivering clear ideas and concepts concisely and accurately for diverse audiences. Exceptional organisation skills with a strong aptitude for forward planning; able to prioritise business critical and time critical matters when faced with conflicting requirements and changing priorities. Experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment, and stakeholder management - influencing and negotiating, building and sustaining relationships.
