At Peer Talk, we help people living with depression and anxiety. Last Easter, we launched a new group in Thornaby and now we need some new volunteers to join us. Full training is provided. You will be required to facilitate with a colleague at our Thornaby meetings. This involves attending 15 minutes before the meeting to prepare the room, facilitating for 90 minutes, closing the meeting, and writing a brief report on it. We take on volunteers from all walks of life. The key quality is that you are a good listener with empathy skills. Many of our volunteers have experienced feelings of low mood and use that experience to help and support our peers. Key Qualities:
