Your new company Hays are working in partnership with a leading Civils & Construction contractor in their recruitment for a MEICA Manager. With over 80 years’ experience of delivering world-class projects across the UK and Ireland, this is a great opportunity for an experienced MEICA Engineer to join their civils division. Your new role As a MEICA Manager, you will work across projects offering support to site teams, ensuring that the MEICA systems are designed, installed and commissioned to required standards in a timely and efficient manner. This role will involve 3 days travel within UK and/or RoI on a weekly basis, but the option of working from home for the remaining 2 days. Main Responsibilities: Managing delivery of utilities to meet programme constraints Managing pre-construction activities and deliverables associated with any MEICA subcontract and associated interfaces Ensuring coordination with other design disciplines Supporting excellence in health and safety standards Managing technical approvals to ensure compliance, acceptance and timely procurement Ensuring MEICA programme milestones are achieved Providing technical support to site teams with regard to subcontract works Ensuring installation standards are adhered to and compliant with contractual requirements Regular reporting on KPI’s Ensuring systems are commissioned in a timely manner and in line with industry standards and project requirements Build and maintain relationships with supply chain Strong drive for continuous improvement What you'll need to succeed Self-starter able to work within different teams across the business Relevant qualification (Degree/HND) or time served in any of the following: Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Instrumentation & Control Engineering 5+ years industry experience Independent working and drive for results Knowledge of MEICA systems Water/wastewater experience Access to a vehicle and qualified to drive Excellent time management Excellent communication skills Demonstrate strong Microsoft Office knowledge What you'll get in return This company prides themselves in recruiting and retaining the best talent by delivering a competitive career package which includes an excellent internal culture, competitive salaries with a comprehensive benefits package which includes: Flexible working / working from home Car allowance Payment of an annual professional membership Contributory pension plan up to 6% Share Scheme opportunities available Employee Referral Scheme Enhanced Maternity & Family friendly policies Health Shield (Medical & Dental Cover included) 34 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) A great opportunity to join one of the leading building and civil engineering contractors in the UK & Ireland where you will gain exceptional knowledge of operating on major civils and utilities projects and frameworks.
