CIPFA is expanding our Customer Services department and is looking for a Member & Customer Support Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with a high level of customer services experience to provide a high level of customer service in response to customer orders and enquiries about CIPFA products and services.

The postholder is responsible for:

Proactively developing and maintaining effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, across the CIPFA Group, to help ensure that business opportunities are followed through, services are improved, and duplication of effort is avoided.

Ensuring compliance with CRM guidelines as appropriate.

Contributing to the implementation and maintenance of Quality Assurance within the CIPFA Group and participating in follow-up actions.

Person Specification:

Extensive experience in Customer Service within a commercial environment

Working within an administrative/support role

Customer focused environment

Demonstrable understanding of customer service issues and knowledge of latest strategies and tactics

High standards of customer care

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email

Ability to develop crystal reports desirable

Ability to analyse and interpret financial data

Present data results coherently & clearly

Strong organisational and time management skills

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Has some understanding of the public sector

Negotiation and sales skills

Familiarity with telephony and CRM systems.
