We are looking for an experienced and self-driven Membership Assistant to work across the Membership area, providing excellent support to members and individuals wishing to join the Institute.

The role: Ensuring compliance with the IMarEST’s Royal Charter and By-Laws, the terms of the Institute’s licences and other relevant rules and regulations Providing administrative support to the Membership Committee Responding to member enquiries by telephone and email Managing applications for membership and professional registration Processing payments for applications and renewals Liaising with the Engineering Council and Science Council and associated bodies to ensure the smooth running of any licensing inspections Supporting all registration activities and licence reviews Maintaining and improving processes and documentation relating to your areas Presenting online/face to face sessions on membership and professional registration Representing IMarEST at national and international events, if required Undertaking additional or other duties as necessary to meet the needs of the Institute including working hours which sit outside of a standard working day or travel within the UK and internationally as part of the role

The person: Previous experience in working within a membership body or similar in a busy, customer service-focused office environment Comfortable in talking to members, industry, academia, governmental and other professional bodies Strong administrative with organisational skills Comfortable using CRM systems and IT proficient Ambitious team player ready to learn and develop Confident with engaging telephone manner Attention to detail is a must Presentation skills (desirable) Benefits 26 days of Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays (plus closure between 25/12 and 1/01 inclusive) Private Medical Insurance – Bupa Life Assurance – 4x salary HSF Health Cashplan (including Perkbox) Income Protection (12 months qualifying service) Employer Pension Contribution – up to 11% Season Ticket Loan Cycle to work scheme Discretionary bonus Pure Human Resources Limited works in partnership with IMarEST in providing Recruitment support - please apply via the link.
