Introduction Cornwall Chamber of Commerce inspires, connects and supports all businesses in Cornwall and Scilly. We are an independent, not-for-profit, membership organisation that works hard to improve our county’s economic prosperity and represents Cornish business interests on a local, regional, national and international level. Cornwall Chamber of Commerce works with their existing networks of Town Chambers, Business Improvement Districts (BIDs) businesses and Chamber members to understand skills needs across different sectors and tailor provision accordingly. Role overview To be a key member of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce’s team, being the main point of contact to our members, providing support to the Events & Marketing team, and the wider business community in Cornwall. We’re looking for a proactive, positive team player to support with membership and events administration. Our members are at the core of everything we do, so we’re looking for a friendly, dynamic team member to support our small team. Main tasks and duties: Assist with event planning and event set up/delivery, which includes travel across Cornwall Provide excellent customer service at events and day to day. Assist with member enquiries, ownership of logins and registration for events Membership account management CRM, any required admin tasks and first point of contact for members Provide general support to the events & marketing team Provide support to commercial partnerships and projects where required Adhere to all Chamber and project policies and procedures including data protection, GDPR and health & safety. To undertake, from time to time, other additional and reasonable duties that may be requested by the line manager. Terms and Conditions This post is for a permanent position, subject to satisfactory completion of a six-month probationary period. We envisage this as a full-time role, working a 35-hour week but with additional hours (including evenings and early mornings for breakfast events) as and when necessary for which TOIL will be available. Some flexible working may be possible. The salary offered is £22,000 per annum, with 21 days paid annual leave (not including public holidays), and expenses, plus 4 additional days to volunteer for a charity if you wish to do so.
