An exciting opportunity has arisen for four Band 6 Practitioners to join the Mental Health Acute Response Service. This role involves supporting the ongoing development of the crisis pathway. We are looking for dynamic, proactive, enthusiastic and highly skilled professionals with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience who will form a key part of the Integrated Crisis Acute Hub. The post holders will also play vital roles in ensuring that all matters related to client’s journey are seamless and of a high standard. This will entail working closely with all professionals and carers involved in client’s care. Main duties of the job

Providing telephone triaging and supporting service users who are in crisis by carrying out assessments. Making clinical decisions in conjunction with the ICAH Clinical Lead to carry out the gatekeeping function of the trust. Carrying out effective assessments and signposting to appropriate organizations/teams. Working closely with inpatient services, Crisis teams, and community teams. Participating in clinical decisions pertaining to bed management issues. Working across other Response Teams to ensure the Response service operates as a single point of access. Person specification

Qualifications

RMN Degree or Dip HE Evidence of CPD Experience

Extensive experience working with young people with complex, acute mental health needs. Risk assessment and management experience. Commitment to working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to conduct mental health assessments and develop management plans. Other

Ability to travel efficiently throughout the area. Ability to cope with highly emotionally stressful situations. Flexibility to take on management of new services as required.
