The salary for this permanent Mental Health Advanced Practitioner Social Worker AMHP job is up to £54,516 per annum. Key Responsibilities:
To undertake complex assessments and care planning and to maintain a reduced caseload of complex cases. To use skills, knowledge, and understanding of AMHP practice and law to support and deliver in the development of the AMHP Service. To provide professional guidance and support to Social Work staff supporting the delivery of high-quality customer-focused services. To provide a leadership role in best practice development, with specific responsibility within a specific area (e.g., Safeguarding Adults or Children, AMHP Practice, Care Management, Housing, etc.). Initiate and/or engage with recommended best practice developments and implement changes in policy/procedures. Carry out audits or participate in research to support quality assurance and develop standards as required. Contribute to the development of action plans or work with existing action plans, producing evidence for the actions. Establish effective links and working relationships with other key colleagues from different services within and external to the Council and Mental Health NHS Trusts. To maintain detailed, accurate and concise recordings of the planning and execution of assessments. To keep abreast of relevant policy, procedures, and local practice. Engage in professional supervision to enhance knowledge and skills development. Any other duties appropriate to the post and grade as required. Requirements:
A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration. Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
