How you make a difference

As the Mental Health Director, you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative oversight for the Mental Health program and staff within the facility. This includes providing clinical supervision and direction to Mental Health Professionals and ensuring that mental health services are consistent with professional training and experience. Additionally, you will provide consultation regarding the mental health program to ensure that it meets the needs of patients and the facility. Key Responsibilities

Plan, manage, and supervise clinical services for mental health staff at the institutional level Provide clinical supervision and direction, professional education, and staff development for mental health professionals Perform direct clinical services and oversee training provided by mental health staff to other facility staff Maintain open communication with institutional administrative, security, medical and support staff, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures Develop and implement goals and objectives for clinical services provided, provide staff meetings and in-service opportunities, and provide timely notification of clinical concerns to the Regional Mental Health Director or Corporate Director of Mental Health Services. Qualifications & Requirements

Education Doctorate in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited college or university. Experience Experience in the coordination and administration of mental health service delivery systems. Significant coursework and professional experience in the mental health field that indicates knowledge of management and supervision techniques, peer review, quality assurance, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders, and psychological evaluation techniques. Licenses/Certifications Licensed to practice psychology in the state of employment by the appropriate state licensing board. Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required by contract. We are an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer
