Working closely with other professionals in the team, the post holder will work across traditional age barriers to provide a liaison service that is inclusive of all adults aged 18 and over, whilst being supported to develop expert skills in specific areas of liaison. This post will be supported by a clinical team and will involve developing working relationships with our colleagues in the acute hospital trust. The service operates 7 days a week over 24 hours, therefore unsocial hours, including night duty is an expectation of this post.

The successful candidate will be a Registered Mental Health Nurse and have ENB 998 / C& G 730 or equivalent. Additionally, you should have evidence of continual professional learning relevant to the post. Experience with patients with self-harm behaviour, patients in crisis, and skills in CBT and Brief Solution Focused Therapy would be an advantage. You will require excellent communication skills and be able to work under pressure. 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework is essential.
