This role is for a dedicated member of staff that will work exclusively on Night shifts. BDCFT is looking for enthusiastic and innovative Band 6 Acute Liaison Psychiatry Service (ALPS) Mental Health Liaison Practitioner to be an active part of a team of trained and competent professionals in liaison Mental Health, who deliver a timely and compassionate assessment which effectively signposts service users with mental health issues presenting in our General Hospitals. The successful applicant will need to be an excellent motivated practitioner, able to work within a General Hospital environment, respecting their views and methods while promoting Mental Health and collaborative working. In addition, close relationships and partnership working will be essential with other key stakeholders such as the Voluntary Care Sector, Local Authority, and Blue light services. Other key areas of work include trauma-informed care, ensuring older adults and young adults receive an equitable service, creating safe and inclusive pathways for intoxicated service users, focusing on increased risks for Perinatal service users, and linking to key services to counter the impact of social deprivation. The role will effectively implement all the above, maintaining Trust values and a high enthusiasm for quality service delivery. Closing Date:

To provide a high standard of nursing care for service users within the Acute Community Services in Bradford and Airedale. Mental Health Professionals working within the Acute Community Service provide clinical risk and mental health assessment, formulation, and short-term contingency planning to service users presenting in the Accident and Emergency Departments who are in mental health crisis. While this role is permanent, the element of exclusive night work is on trial and the following conditions will apply: Exclusive night work will be reviewed against the impact on individuals and the service, with the trust reserving the right to revert to a mixed shift pattern if reviewed to be unsafe or ineffective. The successful applicant will be rostered to complete one 6-hour shift on day per 8-week period for the purpose of Mandatory training, Appraisal, Clinical, and management supervision. About us

Qualifications

Registered Mental Health Nurse/Occupational Therapist/Social Worker Mental health care/treatment relevant to service. Multi-agency working/working across service interfaces. Working within a multicultural framework. Teaching, training, and/or supervision of clinical staff. Experience

Mental health care/treatment relevant to service area. Relevant experience in acute mental health Nursing care. Working with adults presenting in mental health crisis. Experience in an acute Mental health setting. Disclosure and Barring Service Check
