We are looking for an innovative, motivated and compassionate mental health professional with a special interest in the delivery of mental health education to join the Mental Health Liaison Team (MHLT) within Queen Alexandra Hospital (QAH), Portsmouth. The post holder's role will focus on coordinating and delivering training to staff who work in the service and to our colleagues in QAH. We need to ensure that training is in place for members of the Mental Health Liaison Team which meets the bespoke needs of the service, referencing NICE Guidelines, PLAN standards and feedback from patients/carers, staff, the Senior Leadership Team and from investigations and complaints. The post holder will also be expected to work within QAH to deliver training to Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust (PHU) staff on a variety of mental health issues in line with their Mental Health Training Strategy and in accordance with PLAN standards. The primary function of this role is to ensure that training is in place for members of the Mental Health Liaison Team which meet the bespoke needs of the service. Referencing NICE Guidelines, PLAN standards and feedback from patients/carers, staff, the Senior Leadership Team and feedback from investigations and complaints to plan what is required. The post holder will also be expected to work within QAH to deliver training to Portsmouth Hospitals University Trust (PHU) staff on a variety of mental health issues in line with their Mental Health Training Strategy and in accordance with PLAN standards. They will work with other members of the MHLT, including Peer Support Workers, to develop and deliver training on a regular basis, or delegate the delivery to others in the team. Support will be provided by the Service Manager and Team Leader to ensure members of the MHLT are available to support with this work. If it is not possible to source internal facilitators to deliver the training identified as being required the post holder will be expected to seek support from external partners. They will be expected to take the lead in promoting and celebrating local and national events which raise awareness of mental health issues such as World Mental Health Day within the MHLT and QAH. Qualifications

Essential

Appropriate relevant professional qualification. e.g. Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Occupational Therapist, with appropriate registration Masters or Additional post-graduate qualification related to mental health care or equivalent experience Evidence of other development and/or training which indicates a commitment to continuous development and preparation for practice at a senior level.
