Take charge of the inpatient unit regularly and day programme when required in the absence of the Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Manager. Ensure receipt of clinical and managerial supervision in line with trust policy. Be a clinical supervisor to band 3's and 4's within the team. Help in the inductions of staff and students and undergo mentor/preceptor/NVQ assessors training. Be aware of financial constraints in both pay and non-pay areas and cooperate with managers to work within set budgets. Contribute to health, safety, and security of individuals and their environment and evaluate the risk of harm, abuse, and failure to protect. Undertake a Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression course; it is a condition of your employment that you successfully complete all aspects of this course.
