You will support the clinical team in the delivery of a high standard of care by assisting with and carrying out a range of duties as directed by registered staff. This will be in line with individual care and treatment plans for patients and service users. You will demonstrate an attitude which respects and values patients, service users and their carers ensuring they are at the centre of care and treatment planning. This will include working a variety of shift patterns including earlies, lates, long days and night duties. To promote and provide safe and good patient care to all service users and support their families. To be able to work within a team and autonomously when appropriate to ensure that service is delivered. To work as part of a multidisciplinary team and liaise with all agencies to promote safe and up-to-date practice for service users. Working for our organisation

Assess patient/client conditions and consider a range of options when delivering complex and highly complex clinical care. Maintain clinical credibility by providing clinical care and supporting members of the team within the clinical environment. Ensure that clinical tasks are appropriately delegated to the relevant team member. Provide data that supports the monitoring of team contract and objectives. Participate in audits and research, as required. Participate in individual and group supervision. In conjunction with the service management, ensure systems are in place for the ongoing review and assessment of care provision and delivery. Work within guidelines to identify and manage risk, reporting identified risks to the service management. Report any incidents as per Trust policies and support any investigations as delegated by the service lead. Participate in patient satisfaction reporting to improve patient care. Provide support to team members holding responsibility for mentoring students. Person specification

QUALIFICATIONS

NMC registration (RNMH) EXPERIENCE

Experience of working with a range of people with mental health problems. A demonstrated understanding of Equality and Human Rights. VALUES

Able to communicate effectively. Possess good listening and negotiation skills. Ability to work as a member of a team. Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge base regarding: Effective Care Co-ordination, Care Planning and evaluation, Quality and clinical audit, Health & Safety/Risk Management, Mental Health Act. Demonstrate a good knowledge of the Code of Conduct and the nurse’s responsibility to identify gaps in their knowledge base.
